The thing is, the Broncos’ picking of Tebow was just as much a “love letter”, for the lack of a better term, to their fans as it was a statement of winning. While they did think that Tebow would have a future in the NFL, picking a popular player to galvanize a suffering fan base was not out of their minds either. Though they have had decent years, the Broncos have been searching for a franchise QB to take over ever since Elway left. While Tebow may not have been the best quarterback in the draft, the Bronco’s fans were certainly happy to have them. And with the playoffs out of research last season, the fans were clamoring for a taste of Tebow in the last couple of games, which they got in the final three. Going 1-2, he did show some promise, though didn’t exactly light the world on fire.
With the NFL Strike now a reality, Tebow is using his time wisely promising to practice on his own to become a better professional quarterback. While he’s the fan’s choice to start, the Broncos are unsure about where Tebow fits in with the future of the team. Though Kyle Orton did not have a great 2010 season, they did trade for him to be their starting quarterback, which does mean something, in terms of money. While it may come down to a last minute decision on Tebow vs. Orton (if there is a season in 2011), the Broncos could also trade for one of the quarterbacks on the market, such as Donovan McNabb or Kevin Kolb. If Tebow can get a lot out of his “lockout workouts” and show that he has the guff to be an everyday starting QB, you may see him as their number one when the season does start. You also have to remember, he is beloved in Denver, which means that season ticket holders are going to be calling for him to play, which means a lot as well.
]]>Tebow ran the ball two times but did not attempt a pass.
Tebow and the Broncos are now 2-6 this year, not exactly what they had in mind. And for making the playoffs…. doesn’t really look like that is going to happen now. Hopefully they use their bye week on November 7 to regroup and bring in some wins some how. Or maybe even try to put Tebow out on the field… I mean they’re season is over. Why not?
Here is the clip of Tim Tebow’s touchdown run.
]]>Tim took a few pretty big hits against the Bengals during one of their pre-season games, especially the hit he took when he carried the ball into the endzone.
]]>Tim’s very first pass was complete to TE Marquez Branson. Tim was consistent when it came to passing. It then came down to the last 3 seconds of the game, Broncos 17 and Bengals 33. Tim looked to find an open receiver and found no one to be open. A perfect path was waiting for him to run through. Tim then ran through the open hole and plowed through two linemen. With no time remaining on the clock, Tim made his first TD as a Bronco.
During that play, Tim had bruised his ribs. He has missed a few practices last week and has missed last night’s pre-season game against Detroit. Let’s hope Tebow puts some ice on his ribs and gets back on to the practice field.

]]>The ritual happened Saturday night during practice. Tim Tebow was one of the lucky rookies to get the fierce new ‘do. Broncos Running Back LenDale White posted a picture of Tim on Twitter. Tim received a friar like hair cut. Tebow wasn’t the only one to get cut. Receiver Eric Decker, left guard Zane Beadles, Nathan Overbay and offensive lineman Eric Olsen also got new looks. Tim now has a new team, new arm swing, and a new ‘do.

Last month Tim said he did not want to miss a single pro practice. Josh McDaniels, Broncos head coach, has noted that Tim has already fallen behind. Let’s hope that Tim’s agent Jimmy Sexton and Broncos general manager Brian Xanders make a move quickly to get Tebow signed.

]]>A hard-hitting decision for the coaching staff is, do they play Tebow and make him the new face of Denver, or, do they use their leading man Kyle Orton. Or, maybe give Brady Quinn a shot at it.
A poll on www.denverpost.com shows that fans think Orton will have more snaps than Tebow and Quinn. But, Tebow comes in second. Orton, Tebow and Quinn all have an equal chance for the Sunday-starter position. When mini-camp starts on August 1st, the great race for more playing time will truly kick in.

]]>But Tebow is not the only first round draft pick to not sign yet. There has been only one sign a contract and that is Dez Bryant of the Dallas Cowboys. Bryant recently agreed to a five year deal worth $11.8 million, $8 million of that which is guaranteed.
So basically if Tebow doesn’t sign before training camp starts, he is not going to be allowed on any Broncos facilities. You should report to the beginning of the start of training camp, hopefully he doesn’t wait this out.
It’s not a piece of cake just to make a deal to play professional football. Let’s hope that Tim and his agent can just have a cup of coffee or some Gatorade and work things out because he doesn’t have a whole lot of time and Gator Nation wants to see him out on the field.
Anybody have any feedback on Tebow’s decision?
]]>No one knows for sure where Tim will be placed. Only time will tell. Tim says he has had time to bond with the other rookies and really get to know one another. When asked what the biggest adjustment from playing in Gainesville to Denver where the air is thin, Tim responded with a chuckle and said, “I haven’t got extremely used to it yet but, I will condition myself hard to get used to it.”
