Life After Tebow, & What To Expect From The 2010 Gators
With today being December 30th, 2009, Urban Meyer and his Florida Gators prepare to verse the Cincinnati Bearcats in a few days in the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. More importantly, this game will be the college career ending game for quarter back Tim Tebow. So, we all have to wonder, ‘How is Tim feeling about his final game at Florida?’ The answer to this only lies with the beholder, Mr. Tim Tebow himself.
Many reporters asked Tim Tebow that question. Here is his answer:
“Well, I am happy and excited on one hand, but I am also very sad in leaving a great place like Florida.”
So Tebow must have a few extreme mixed emotions with leaving the University of Florida with 98 total touchdowns, 8,083 passing yards, and 2,896 rushing yards for the Gators in four years.
We all ask what will life after Tebow be like. To me, the Florida Gators will be weaker offensively because our main threat will be gone from the team and into the NFL. But, Florida should be OK. Expect fewer rushing attacks from John Brantley, the 6’3, 217 pound red shirt sophomore out of Ocala, Florida. Although, some would say Brantley is a better passer than Tebow was. I would say that is true in some cases.
But, expect nothing less then a 10-2 regular season record from the Steve Addazio and John Brantley lead Gators in the 2010 season. The Florida fightin’ Gators should be fine without Tim Tebow but we will miss him on and off the field.

Tebow Unsure About The Senior Bowl
College football fans are still curious to find out whether Florida Gator quarterback will play in the Senior Bowl or not because Tim himself said that he is unsure if he’ll be playing this year. But I don’t see why he wouldn’t. If he cares about being selected in the 2010 draft, he needs all the opportunities he can get to impress scouts.
“I don’t know if I will play. I haven’t talked to anybody about it,” Tebow said. “If the people I talk to that are wise think that I should play in it, I’ll go play in it. If they don’t, I won’t. I don’t know. I’ll do whatever I need to do [to impress] – throw out here a million times, I don’t care.”
Basically the Senior Bowl is for all the college seniors to get one last shot to impress all of the NFL scouts. There is a combination of players throughout the country mixed up and divided into two teams. You may see some seniors miss the game for several reasons. A couple may be they are injured or they might think it will hurt their draft stock. If Tim doesn’t play, there really is no reason to be upset with him. If you read the quote, Tebow knows whats the right choice. Listening to Meyer and other advisers will probably help Tim with his decision on whether he will be playing or not.

Tebow A Finalist For Two Awards
It was announced today that Tim Tebow will be in the running again this year for some of the most coveted awards in college football. Tebow was named a finalist for the Maxwell Award, which is given out annually to the overall best player in college football. Along with Tebow, Texas quarterback Colt McCoy and Alabama running back Mark Ingram are u for the award. Tebow is also a finalist for the Davey O’Brien award that honors the best quarterback in college football. Houston’s Case Keenum and once again McCoy will be competing with Tebow for the award. So you ask, what are the chances Tim Tebow comes away with the hardware for these awards?
Well, for the past six years the Maxwell Award has been given strictly to quarterbacks, so I would automatically rule Ingram out of contention. That leaves Tebow and McCoy to battle it out, and in my opinion the award will go to Tim Tebow. After all he has won it the past two years, so why would the voters change this when he is having another stellar season. Now, the battle for the O’Brien Award is a bit more complicated to decipher. Keenum is having a spectacular year statistics wise as he leads the nation passing yards, total offense, and completions.
Then we have McCoy who is putting up another very good year, and has recently set an NCAA record with 43 victories a starting quarterback. And finally there is Tebow who also is having a great year, but I believe his lack of statistical firepower will eliminate him from contention. That leaves us with Keenum and McCoy, and I believe the winner will be Keenum because of the amazing stats he has compiled. So, I think that Tebow will win the Maxwell Award, but come just short in the running for the O’Brien Award.

Tebow Passes Hershel Walker With 50 Rushing TD’s
Quarterback Tim Tebow capped on another long drive, rushing right up the middle through Georgia defenders for a 23 yard rushing touchdown which now is Number 50 which puts him past former Georgia RB Herschel Walker.
Tebow has thrown two touchdowns in the first half, both to roommate Riley Cooper. Tim was interviewed earlier and he said how cool it was being able to have the chance to compete for the all time SEC rushing record. He finally did it. His mom and dad sit in the stands full of joy watching their son play as a Florida Gator and having the opportunity to break a record.
Congrats Tim!

Tebow Not The Same Since His Concussion
Every since Tim Tebow suffered from the concussion in the Kentucky game, he hasn’t been the same. Or is it just me who thinks that?
He seems like a whole new guy. Head coach Urban Meyer commented on Tebow at the press conference and said he isn’t playing at his highest level. And he really isn’t. I’m not sure if it’s because of the concussion or what. But things have been way different ever since the beginning of the season.
Tebow is trying hard to score and I think he may be over doing him self a bit. But Tim is still playing his heart out and doing the best he can. Tebow in the red zone is 2 out of the last 15 trips.
I think the frustration has also been getting to his head. Especially after he throws an interception. There last couple of games have been nail biters and aren’t the best games they have played, but at least the W still counts.
“‘If they’re all ugly, that’s OK,” Tebow said. “We’ll be undefeated.”

Tim Tebow’s Last Gator Growl
Tonight was real fun at the 2009 Gator Growl and it will be the last for Tim Tebow. I am sure this is something he will never forget.
When Tim was announced last out of all the seniors, he gave a real nice speech. He thanked each fan and coach for everything they have done and supported him throughout his career. I got a chance to take a minute of video footage of Tim tonight.
Tim Tebow and the Gators will face Arkansas tomorrow at 3:30 pm. Go Gators!
Tebow Featured On 10th SI Cover
Tim Tebow has made his tenth sports illustrated cover, appearing on the October 19th issue.
The magazine starts talking about how Tebow suffered the concussion and how he came back, his performance etc.
It’s pretty cool to see Tebow on yet “ANOTHER” issue of sports illustrated. Below are all of the covers with Tebow on the front.
