Tebow continues to lead NFL in jersey sales
Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Tim Tebow has not played a single game yet and is still leading the NFL in jersey sales. Really no surprise with that right? It is TIM TEBOW.
On the NFL Shop website, Tebow is listed as number one under the top selling jerseys from the start of April 1 through June 30. The Heisman trophy winner and 245th overall pick is even ahead of Super Bowl MVP quarterback Drew Brees and as well as Donovan McNabb.
There are four other rookies along with Tebow that are in the top 20. Those players are Ndamukong Suh (No. 8), Sam Bradford (No. 9), Dez Bryant (No. 15) and Eric Berry (No. 18).
Not just Tebow’s jerseys are selling off the wall, but his autographs are a huge sale as well. Last weekend there was an autograph session where thousands of people lined up in Fort Pierce, Fla., and purchased a photo for $75 and an autograph that was $160. Can’t you see that Gator fans just LOVE Tim Tebow. But that wasn’t it. There were 20 people who paid $1,000 EACH just to have a chance to have a private chat with the former Florida Gator superstar. Now that is ridiculous.
The love and the passion of Tim Tebow is never going to die down. It will live on forever.
Tim Tebow interview at the NFL rookie symposium
Here is a pretty cool video interview that was filmed by Los Angeles Times NFL writer Sam Farmer who got a chance to catch up with Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow. Tebow spoke about how Major Wright should do in the NFL and how he is a little underrated, and also talks about how he continues to work on his throwing mechanics and fundamentals to get him prepared for the season.
Tebow signs with Gatorade
Denver Bronco quarterback Tim Tebow has recently added on yet another endorsement deal. First, Tebow came to an agreement with Nike a few weeks ago and now he has added Gatorade to his most recent one. I guess you could say Tim had a little bit of the hookups because as everybody should know, Gatorade was invented at the University of Florida so there are some ties there. Earlier this year, Tiger Woods was dropped from Gatorade and now with the addition of Tebow, maybe it could help Gatorade itself out.
Gathered by Tebowzone, here is a video interview of Tebow and the Gatorade product. He talks about what the meaning of him competing in the NFL and how the drink replenishes his body when playing football and tastes good all at the same time.
Bill Belichick interested in Tim Tebow
Despite all of the pro scouts and draft experts who are questioning Tim Tebow’s ability to play at the next level, Bill Belichick thinks Tebow could be a very good quarterback in the NFL. In fact, he and the New England Patriots are even considering drafting Tebow in April.
Reporters talked to Belichick at the NFL Owners Meeting and he spoke very highly of Tebow saying, “He had a great career. I think he was outstanding.” Belichick finished his praise by stating, “There are a lot of positives.”
When asked about the questions concerning Tim Tebow’s throwing ability, Belichick responded by saying, “They all need work. Some guys are more coachable than others. Some guys have different things they need to correct, whatever the technique or physical development happens to be. I don’t think that’s unusual.”
Belichick wasn’t done there though as he also said, “Tiger Woods has rebuilt his golf swing twice. Every quarterback I’ve coached has worked on his mechanics and improved them. Phil Simms, (Jeff) Hostetler, Brady….I can’t think of too many that haven’t. It’s part of every player’s development.”
Considering how Belichick is so high on Tebow and the fact that he has already scheduled him for a private workout before the draft, there is speculation that the New England Patriots could be looking to pick him. Now this isn’t a certainty like making money by playing Texas hold em free, but the Patriots have been looking for a serviceable backup to play behind Tom Brady. And if their plan to get Chad Pennington before he re-signs with the Miami Dolphins doesn’t work, Tebow might be the perfect fit.

If the Patriots want him, there’s a very good chance they could get him considering they have four picks within the first two rounds of the draft. Even if they don’t end up using Tebow at quarterback, he could fit in elsewhere as Belichick eluded to when he said, “My sense of Tim Tebow is, if you asked him to play nose (tackle), he’d play nose. He’s that type of kid. I don’t know what a team would do with him, but he’s a really interesting player.”

Tebow Not Welcomed in Jacksonville
Tim Tebow has received all kinds of scrutiny because of his footwork and his attributes as a quarterback. During his Senior Bowl practices in Mobile, Alabama, his chances of success as a successful NFL quarterback decreased tremendously. A while back, rumors spread about Tebow being drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars for an increase in attendance at the Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. Just recently, a Jacksonville Jaguar player has been criticizing Tebow and he doesn’t seem too welcomed in Jacksonville anymore.
While at a local bank in Jacksonville, Offensive lineman Uche Nwaneri was asked about Tebow joining the team. Nwaneri posted the top 5 reasons why Tebow is not a good quarterback on the Jaguar website. On his list which was reported by Yahoo.com, he said, “1. He can’t throw, PERIOD. 2. He can’t read any coverage other than probably cover 2 or man.
3. The QB Wildcat WILL NOT WORK IN THIS LEAGUE. PERIOD. 4. He doesn’t know how to take a snap from center.
5. HE CAN’T THROW, and that’s really something you either have or not.”
Although, it appears as if filling the seats in the Jacksonville Municipal Stadium is more important than the skill of a player at this point for the Jaguars. Whether or not Tebow is warmly welcomed in Jacksonville by his possible future teammates, Tebow may very well be drafted to Jaguars, still. If he is brought into the Jaguars’ program, you can guarantee there will be many Jag, Gator, and other sports fans and enthusiasts filling the stadium to watch the award and national championship winning quarterback test his skills behind his unfriendly linemen in 2010.

Tim Tebow’s Ups and Downs at the Senior Bowl
The AP and Fox Sports described Tim Tebow’s performance at the Senior Bowl shaky. The fact is the whole South Team could be called shaky as they lost 31-13. Tebow’s real shaky performance would be his two fumbles. It had been reported earlier in the week he was having some problems holding onto the ball (Fox Sports and ESPN Radio). Playing in a Pro Style offense is different than the Gators offense and the transition showed some flaws.
The competition was tough. The North Team was full of talented seniors who were also coached by an NFL staff. The South All-Stars lost 4 fumbles as a team. Tim Tebow accounted for one of those his other fumble was recovered by a teammate. Tebow was not the only one having problems holding onto the ball. Tim Tebow only gained four yards rushing on four attempts. However, the North defense held the South All-Stars to only 30 yards rushing.
On the positive side, Tim Tebow completed 8 out of 12 passes. Tebow threw no interceptions. He finished with 50 yards passing. Tim Tebow did not have a spectacular game. Tebow did not pass for any touchdowns or score any rushing touchdowns. The South team only scored one touchdown. Oklahoma States Zac Robinson led the South team in passing with 176 yards. Robinson threw a touchdown and an interception. West Virginia quarterback Jarrett Brown threw for 57 yards but had an interception. Tim Tebow shared the playing time in this game so scouts did not get to see him play a full game. However, many of the scouts were in town all week to check out the players at practice.
The game showed Tim Tebow can play in a pro style offense and could possibly be an NFL quarterback. The game also showed Tim Tebow has some flaws and has a lot of work to be ready for the next level. Tim Tebow’s next chance to improve his chances for the NFL will come at the scouting combines.

Tebow Looking to Play QB in the NFL
What follows is an article regarding Tebow and his career. You can take this time in between writing emails or playing free poker or whatever it is you are doing online to read all about it. We hope you find it interesting and informative.
As Tim Tebow exited his outstanding college career for the NFL, he faced all kinds of scrutiny at the press conference in Mobile, Alabama on Sunday. Many criticisms included his lack of experience under center, his ball placement, mechanics, his release, and his footwork.
Tebow is not worried about the critics one bit as he attempts to make the huge transition to play with the ”big boys”. The only thing the Heisman and National Championship winning quarterback is worried about is proving to the NFL scouts that he can play as a quarterback in the NFL. Most importantly, doing it well.
Tebow has recently received some support from Urban Meyer. Coach Meyer told Tebow, “Promise me one thing: Just be you and you’ll be fine.” Tebow looks forward to following Meyer’s advice to a ‘t’ once the NFL scouts show up. Tebow told the media Sunday in Mobile, “I’m just going to be me. I’m going to be excited, I’m going to be passionate, I’m going to have fun.”
His first real test to prove to the NFL scouts and the whole world of football that he is the NFL QB type will come this Saturday at the Senior Bowl. Tebow told the media Sunday that, “I’m here to be an NFL quarterback.” Although Tebow may not have the exact NFL style passing technique, he will be sure to show his leadership skills to the scouts. Tebow is also there to show that he is willing to work hard and display his showcase of abilities and attributes.
Tim Tebow is arguably the best college football player to ever play the game. Most NFL scouts think he is not fit for the NFL as a quarterback. Therefore, Tebow is most likely to be drafted in the 3rd or 4th round when it comes time for the teams to select their picks. Whether the Florida standout is selected in the 1st round or the 5th round, look for Tim Tebow to be a standout quarterback for one lucky NFL team.

Tim Tebow To Appear In Super Bowl Commercial
Tim Tebow is going from the Sugar Bowl to the Super Bowl or at least to an appearance on a Super Bowl commercial. Typical Super Bowl Commercials usually focus on beer, soft drinks, fast food, cars and trucks. Tim Tebow’s Super Bowl commercial won’t be typical.
The Associated Press is reporting Tim Tebow will be featured in an ad for Focus on the Family. Focus on the Family is a Christian group led by Jim Daly. Tim’s mom, Pam, is also to appear in the commercial. Tim Tebow has been very involved in his Christian faith from working on missionary trips to putting bible verses under his eyes during games. Tim’s commercial appearance is just another step in his Christian faith.
Tim Tebow garnered star appeal being the quarterback at the University of Florida football team. During Tebow’s time as a Gator, the team won two National Championships, appeared in the SEC Championship three times, won a Heisman Trophy, won a Sugar Bowl and set all kinds of records in between. The success Tim had in college brought him hype and made him one of the most recognizable players in college football. Focus on the Family picked Tebow because of how recognized he is and how recognized he is for his Christian beliefs.
Super Bowls have become a show case for commercials. The Super Bowl is one of the most watched events and therefore one of the most expensive commercial spots. The Super Bowl often debuts many new commercials and advertising campaigns. It is great Tim will be able to share the spotlight of the ad with his mom. Having watched several Florida Gator football games it is obvious his parents were very supportive of their son being at most of his games (if not all).
The commercial will give Tim Tebow fans one more chance to see him. Tim will likely be busy playing in the Senior Bowl and working out for the NFL combines before the draft in April.

Tim Tebow Record Setting Finale

Florida Gators fans enjoyed watching their team rebound from a disappointing loss in the SEC Championship to wallop an undefeated Cincinnati Bearcats team 51-24 in the Sugar Bowl. Tim Tebow saved his best college game for last. He enjoyed rewriting the Sugar Bowl record book. Tim tied or set six Sugar Bowl records and three BCS records in the win. The Gators offense set another Sugar Bowl record and the Gators became the first team with a pair of thirteen win seasons.
Tim Tebow had a huge game in the Sugar Bowl. “Tebow threw for a career-high 482 yards.” His 533 yards of total offense he amassed were “more than anyone in Bowl Championship Series history.” Tim’s “482 yards passing were also Sugar Bowl and BCS bowl game records.” Tim Tebow completed 31 of 35 passes. “The 31 completions established a new Sugar Bowl record.” “Tebow’s 88.6 completion percentage set a BCS bowl game record and his four total touchdowns tied a Sugar Bowl mark.” Tim Tebow threw for three touchdowns and scored one rushing touchdown in the game. “Tebow completed his first 12 passes, setting a new Sugar Bowl record for consecutive completions.” Tim’s record setting night made him an easy choice for the games MVP Award.
Thanks in part to Tim Tebow the Florida Gators “finished with a Sugar Bowl-record 659 yards” of offense. The University of Florida also “became the first school in the Football Bowl Subdivision to win 13 games in consecutive seasons.” The Gators 13-1 record is the same mark the achieved the season before when they won the National Championship.
Tim probably would trade all his new Sugar Bowl records for another National Championship. However, he finished his Gator career on a high note. The Sugar Bowl records he set will surely add to the legacy he leaves at the University of Florida. The legacy which includes two National Championships, a Heisman Trophy Award to name a few of the highlights will be one of the greatest in Gator history.

Say Bye To Tim Tebow
Last nights Sugar Bowl victory against Cincinnati finished Tebow’s last game off and it ended with a good one, along with a record setting performance.
Even though the season did not finish the way he planned, Tebow still ended his final game as a Gator the way it should. And that is finishing as a winner and setting records. Tim had a crazy night with 533 total yards and 4 touchdowns. He also had a career high passing night, completing 31 of 35 passes for 482 yards and 3 touchdowns. Tebow also added 51 rushing yards on 14 attempts and a touchdown.
He helped the Gators to one of the most amazing runs in recent college football history. Two National titles and 2 SEC titles under his belt, and also the first team in BCS history to have back to back 13 win seasons, which is an outstanding 26-2 record over the last two years, and a 48-7 record for the senior class and also 3 BCS bowl victories. Tebow will be missed but will be followed throughout his NFL career.
