PostHeaderIcon Tebow: The Jaguars’ Savior?

As Tim Tebow completed his final game as a Gator, NFL coaches, scouts, and owners from all teams are surprisingly, not thinking too much about Tebow being drafted to their team. Although, there is one exception. That omission is the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jaguars’ attendance record hit an all-time low December 8th, 2009 versus a divisional rival, the Houston Texans. The attendance for the game was at a ‘whopping’ 42,079 fans. The Jacksonville Municipal Stadiums holds over 76,000. The attendance for Jacksonville games have been down significantly over the past few years.

As Tebow graduates from the University of Florida and looks forward to the spotlight of the NFL, the Jacksonville Jaguars, unlike most other teams, look forward to Tebow being in the NFL. The way the Jaguars see it, the attendance is lower than ever, and Tebow could be the savior for the Jacksonville Jaguars. If attendance does not rise soon, the Jaguars could potentially be shipped out to Los Angeles. In short terms, if they draft him, fans will come.

Even Florida state leaders are urging for the Jaguars to draft Tebow to save the team from moving. Governor Charlie Crist describes Tebow as, “A great Floridian who is much more a great person than he is a quarterback. I think it would be great [to have Tebow as a Jaguar].”

If the Jaguars are in desperate need of higher attendance numbers, which they are, you can look forward to Tebow wearing a Jaguars’ jersey in the upcoming season. When Tebow played with the Gators, attendance was through the roof in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Hopefully, Tebow can bring fans from across the state or even across the country to see him play as a Jaguar.

PostHeaderIcon 1st Half Stats For Tim Tebow

Tebow’s final game has gone as planned. The NFL Scouts will have a lot to think about when they take a second look at this performance so far. The Gators are on their way to blowing out the Bearcats, and all because of the play by Mr. Tim Tebow. I honestly think this has been Tebow’s best first half performance of his career at UF. The Gators lead the Bearcats 30-3 at halftime.

Here are Tim Tebow’s stats from the first half:

Passing- 20/23 321 yards. AVG.- 14.0, 3 Touchdowns.
Rushing- 8 carries for 28 yards. AVG.- 3.5, longest- 17.

Tim Richard Tebow was born on August 14th 1987. He has two proud parents named Pam and Bob Tebow. Tim was very lucky to be alive as a baby after his mom went through an pathological amoeba infection.

By age 12 Tim was throwing the football 50 yards which was amazing. They knew then that he had a special gift. He was raised in Jacksonville Florida and attended and played football for Nease high school.

In 2007 for the Gators, Tebow found a way of winning the Heisman, Maxwell, and Davey O’Brien awards. He scored 51 total touchdowns and 22 of them were rushing. In 2008, Tebow joins Archie Griffin as the only two-time recipient for the out standing award.
